ISI Highly Cited

Prof. Gogotsi has been included in the list of ISI Highly Cited researchers for the 3rd year in the row: http://hcr.stateofinnovation.thomsonreuters.com
This recognition is based on the number of papers that are within the top 1% in the materials science field. This is clearly the result of excellent work of our extremely productive A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute.

Amanda Recognized for Boren Fellowship

Drexel University students have been very successful in winning the prestigious Boren Fellowship. Our very own PhD student, Amanda Pentecost, is one of them.  Only about 10% out of 250 or so combined Boren scholars and fellows are science/technology/engineering majors. Read the full story here.

NanoArtography Contest

Read about the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials NanoArtography Competition in Drexel’s The Triangle newspaper here.

Celebrate National Nanotechnology Day

In preparation to the first ever National Nanotechnology Day, to be celebrated on Nov. 9th, several editors of ACS Nano put together a white paper, which has been featured by the American Chemical Society as the article of the day. The paper has already received endorsement from the White House.  Read the full paper here.

ISI Hot Papers

Three papers from the DNI are listed as ISI Hot Papers (0.1% of all publications in the field in the past 2 years!).  This indicates the highest rate of citations within the academic field and is the highest recognition for publications from ISI.

Prediction and Characterization of MXene Nanosheet Anodes for Non-Lithium-Ion Batteries Times Cited: 71

Conductive two-dimensional titanium carbide ‘clay’ with high volumetric capacitance Times Cited: 146

Flexible MXene/Carbon Nanotube Composite Paper with High Volumetric Capacitance Times Cited: 63

Materials Today

Congratulations to Prof. Gleb Yushin,  former post-doctoral researcher in the DNI, who has become co-editor-in-chief of Materials Today! Congratulations to Gleb!
